Wichita is known in the medical community as a pioneer of innovation. Here, we have a long and varied history of surgical specialties, and Cypress Surgery Center is no exception.
In the late 1990s, Reproductive Endocrinologists David Grainger and Bruce Tjaden recognized a need for IVF (InVitro Fertilization) treatment services and accessibility in the Wichita area. To meet this need, we added an IVF lab to our practice. Over the next few years, along with OB/GYN physician Michael Brown, we realized still an ever increasing demand for our services and standard of care.
By 2004, patients knew they had more options when it came to surgery, and Cypress, an ambulatory surgical center, continued to be patients' choice over the typical hospital experience. The demand for high quality, convenient healthcare at an exceptional value was now paramount to a traditional surgery setting.
In 2006, Cypress Surgery Center partnered with Surgery Partners, formerly Symbion Healthcare, a national network of ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Together, we've grown Cypress into the largest—and highly preferred—surgery center in Wichita, performing over 11,000 surgical and non-surgical procedures each year.
No matter our growth, our mission and commitment to our patients always remains the same. Cypress provides high quality outpatient care with respect to our patients, staff, and the entire Wichita community. Our facility is founded on the deep desire to give patients more, and today we're able to give them so much more than the average surgical experience.
You really do have a choice when it comes to your surgery. From gynecology to neurology, and ophthalmology to orthopedics, Cypress Surgery Center delivers virtually every specialty in the safest manner and at the greatest value to you.
