Dr. Bruner serves as Clinical Associate Professor on the Orthopaedic Surgery Faculty for the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He also trains residents in knee arthroscopy and sports medicine. In addition he serves as attending physician on the Sports Medicine Panel at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
Dr. Bruner received his MD from the University Kansas in 1985, completed his residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in 1990, and his sports medicine fellowship at the Mid American Center for Sports Medicine in 1991. He specializes in arthroscopic knee surgery and has a specific interest in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and meniscal repair utilizing the modified Henning Technique.
He has co-authored the following paper in the last five years: Augmentation of a Deficient Patellar Ligament with a Bone-Patellar Tendon-Bone Inlay Allograft.
Dr. Bruner serves as the team physician for Southwestern College and Butler County Community College. He jointly serves as the team physician for Friends University and Cowley County Community College.
